Kathryn is a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) licensed to practice in California and Florida. She’s also a Life Coach offering services to clients in all U.S. states and Canada. Having worked in the mental health field since 2016, Kathryn knows how to help clients handle their unique challenges, address their emotional underlying issues, and better achieve mental wellbeing. Previously, she provided counseling services for Sonoma Family Therapy (2018-2021). Starting in 2020, she also began focusing on her private practice.

She received a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from The University of British Columbia in BC Canada in 2014, followed by a Master’s of Clinical Psychology from the Wright Institute in Berkeley, CA in 2017. Afterward, she trained for two years at Napa County Behavioral Health, where she developed a deep understanding of human relationships and their complexities, allowing her to treat both individuals and couples. While there, Kathryn also learned how to best support teens and young adult clients, and ran a teen counseling program.

Kathryn is especially passionate about supporting women and families during the perinatal stage as they prepare for the arrival of a new child. She completed a Perinatal Mental Health Certification Program (PMH-C) through Dancy Perinatal Counseling and taught classes there, including “Sex After Baby” and “Moms Who Worry”. She enjoys helping teens and young adults cope with life transitions and feel more confident about the future. Most recently, she completed courses in sex therapy, allowing her to help clients address sex and intimacy issues during various life stages and circumstances.

Outside the office, Kathryn is an avid dancer and rock climber. She’s a big believer in the power of movement and artistic expression to help people grow and heal from past trauma. She also rides horses; working with these incredible animals has enhanced her own listening skills and ability to set good boundaries with others, allowing her to bring a whole new perspective to her therapy practice.
