Services

In my therapy practice, I explore how mental health challenges can impact your mind, body, and spirit–both separately and together. No matter your reason for seeking therapy, we’ll always focus on these elements when devising your treatment plan.

Virtual therapy sessions are 50 minutes long for individuals and 75 minutes long for couples. To schedule your free 15-minute phone consultation, click on the Contact tab above or scroll down for the same form.

What to Expect From Your First Appointment

During therapy sessions, I often educate my clients on the brain to provide an important context for their thoughts, emotions, and reactions. Having this context allows clients to take charge of their mental health journey. When meeting for the first time, I’ll ask a series of questions to establish a solid foundation for our future sessions and discover which therapy techniques can benefit you most.

To start, I typically take a thorough medical and life history to learn how your past might inform your current challenges. Depending on your reason for seeking therapy, we may also discuss your family’s medical history and your relationships with close family members. Afterward, we’ll look over your self-care routines - i.e. sleep habits and patterns, exercise, food, etc. - to see whether your basic needs are covered.

Therapy Techniques

I’m an integrative therapist, meaning I pick and pull from different modalities to best meet a client’s needs. Every session is new and every client is different–as your therapist, it’s my job to adapt my practice to meet you where you’re at. That way, I can help you reach an optimal quality of life and achieve greater mental well-being.

If you’ve been in therapy before, I’ll also ask which strategies worked for you and which were problematic. Consent is a key part of my practice—it’s important for me to ask permission to discuss a situation in depth, as you’re in the driver seat of your mental health journey. I’m here ready to support, guide, and offer direction as you need.

Here are the modalities I most often use:

• Attachment-based

• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

• Culturally Sensitive

• Existential

• Humanistic

• Integrative

• Interpersonal

• Mindfulness-Based (MBBT, MBCT, & MBSR)

• Motivational Interviewing

• Person-Centered

• Psychodynamic

• Relational
